"La La Land" Inspired Map Box Tileset

This was a project for my cartographic design course. We were tasked with creating a Mapbox tileset inspired by a feature film. The movie I selected was Academy Award-winning, "La La Land". Using my inpsiration board, I created a tileset with 4 scales. I used a Hollywood style font, along with a Hollywood star for country symbols. For cities, I continued the use of Hollywood style font and I incorporated the iconic lamp post from the movie poster as a symbol. Once you zoom in to the local scale, you will notice that theaters, art centers, and entertainment venues are labeled rather than all features.
